Jackets Trade Youth for Points
To wrap up a fleury of deadline activity including moves to get Brian Leetch, Jeff O'Neill,
Ron Francis, and Greg Devries,the Blue Jackets have acquired 77 rated player Mike Johnson from the Wild. Going the other way
was 25 year old JP Dumont.
"This is a move to bolster our third line and gives us some much needed insurance if one of
our top six forwards go down," said assistant coach Cosmo Kramer
Mike Johnson, 29, lead the Phoenix Coyotes in points in the real NHL in 2002-2003 season.
"Its an honour to be playing for a team that has a chance to make some noise in the playoffs,"
Johnson said, " Its going to be quite a luxury for our team to have Bure, O'Neill, and myself down the right side, its
going to be fun here, I love the atmoshpere already"
